In 2020, voters in Florida passed a constitutional amendment to raise the minimum wage in Florida to $15 per hour by 2026. To implement this change, the minimum wage will increase by one dollar an hour on September 30th of each year. On September 30, 2024, the minimum wage in Florida will increase from $12 per hour to $13 per hour. This change will have a huge impact on both employers and employees.
If you are an employee and feel like you are being paid less than the minimum wage, or you are an employer and need to make sure you are in compliance with the law, or if you have any other questions KellerGibson, PLLC can help.
